As a parent or guardian, you download the Piggyb app and create a profile for your kids. The profile you build for them will automatically determine an appropriate shopping experience, based on age, interests and more.
Use Apple Pay, Google Pay or your debit card to start rewarding your kids with $PiggyDs, which can be spent in the PiggyB shop. Setup a weekly allowance, as well as chores and tasks that they have to complete to earn extra $PiggyDs.
Your kids log onto PiggyB and are free to browse and purchase products on their own, using their hard-earned $PiggyDs. They can only spend what is in their PiggyBank and all items in the shop are safe & hand-picked by our in-house team.
All products are curated and selected by our team to be age-appropriate, educational and safe; and the browsing experience is incredibly simple and fun.
Kids can only spend what is available in their PiggyBank, so you never need to worry about them overspending or surprise charges showing up in your bank account.
Among other things, our platform takes the complicated checkout process and makes it 100% kid-proof. Shipping addresses are added by parents and setup with recognizable names and imagery.
All products on our platform include a demo and unboxing video. Kids who have purchased a product can also add their own video reviews—if you’ve given them permission.
PiggyB is focused on kids aged 6-12yrs old, but it’s solely up to your discretion to decide if your child is ready. Your child should be quite comfortable reading simple English and have a very basic understanding of Math — although our platform is designed to be educational and guides children throughout their shopping experience.
Everything on PiggyB is curated by our in-house team. Not only will items your child sees be age appropriate and safe, but they’ll be thoroughly reviewed by our team from a fun, engagement and educational standpoint. Also, when you setup their profile via the Parent App, you’ll have the opportunity to hone in on their interests and passions, which will have a direct impact on their shopping experience.
Your child can only spend as much as you've given them i.e. the amount that's in their PiggyBank. The Parent App makes it quick and easy for you to give or take money from your child’s PiggyBank.
The Parent App will give you a clear view of your child’s browsing activity, including items that they purchase. As their parent or guardian you’ll also have a short window, after they’ve made a purchase, to cancel an order. Our platform will inform your child that the item has sold out.
Absolutely not! Trust and transparency is very important to us. We will never share data about your child with an external entity, or use that data to advertise external brands or products to them on our platform. We only record and use data to improve each child’s individual browsing experience on PiggyB, such as better product recommendations.
No, we do not charge a subscription fee. Aside from product sales, we charge a very small fee for every purchase made — similar to Uber Eats and Doordash. This fee is included in the total purchase price of an item during checkout and is funded by your child’s PiggyBank — not you.
